This product does not install on Windows 7 x64 on my HP Pavilion dv8 laptop. It appeared to install and run OK on the virtual XP session that runs on Win 7 x64. Be advised you will need to perform extra downloading and configuration above and beyond Win 7 x64 install. Virtual PC *is* a free download from MS. Go to Microsoft and search for terms "windows 7 virtual pc xp mode". How can you tell if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit Windows 7? Go to Control Panel find system and read what it says for system type. Likely, if you have 32 bit Windows 7 you won't have any issues with this product.I like TaxCut/Block By bsquare
I've used this product line for 15 years & like it much better than Turbo Tax. I wish they'd stop changing it's name, tho - must be confusing to those who don't know the brand.Works GREAT!!!! H&R Block saved me money! By tims75vette
I have windows 7 without the XP mode and this software works great on my computers.
I had ZERO issues with Windows 7.
I also used H&R Block Home Basic last year on the same Windows 7 computer and it worked flawlessly.
A couple of years ago I received that year's version free with a printer I purchased. I had already finished a first draft of my return manually. After doing the same with this software it found over $400 of savings I had not noticed. I went from owing over $1000 to $582. I swear by tax software now and this is the best bang for the buck.
I HIGHLY recommend it. Can't beat it for the price. If nothing else then to check any other method of tax prep you may have done.
