I have used H&R block (TaxCut) for years. This is the first year I had to deal with at least two bugs. Both are tied into the information that it imports from last years return.
First it had that I filed a standard deduction then it had zero for my AGI line. Both of these effected how the program handled my current return.
If you import last years information you will have to check every line since whatever is getting imported is suspect and no longer makes the filling easier since the information can be wrong.

I have been using H&R Block tax software since the TurboTax servers went belly up the day before taxes were due a few years ago.
Now in this years gem from H&R Block, they include a deceptive ploy to try to get you to upgrade to Premium edition, as if you hadn't already payed for the tax subjects that led you to the upgrade offer.
OK, so I finally figured out what was going on and went about my tax prep business. The program seems to work. But you just don't treat your customers that way. They must think we're idiots.
