H&R Block At Home 2011 Basic: I have used the H&R Block tax software for a few years now. I used TurboTax before the H&R software but intuit kept upping the price "pay more get less" so I dumped them and started using Block software. I use basic because I do not see paying extra for guidance and the state. All the guidance and advice I can get for free at the IRS website. The state is just coping information from the federal, not worth paying extra for it.My last H&R Block At Home By Fuzz Buzz in IN
I found this product to be useless. It would not enter the foreign tax credit (common to some mutual funds) and it would not let me enter the fuel tax credit (farm use) on form 1040 and of course it did not have the fuel tax form available. However the fuel tax form could be completed on the IRS site with the credit amount then put on the 1040, but the software does not allow direct entry on the form 1040. I ended up buying the $25 Turbo tax which handled both of these items fine. I have used this and predecessor Tax Cut for years, but since sold to H&R Block, the basic does less and less each year. Guess that they want me to buy a higher priced version each year. Won't happen.Easy to use By Robert Reszegi
Works well for most tax returns.I have used H&R Block software for years with no problems. Just follow directions and return is accurate . This is only for Fed.tax , state portion is extra and costly . The Best-Selling H&R Block At Home 2011 Basic then to sell out very fast, if this is a must have product, be sure to order now to avoid disappointment.
